- All bookings are accepted on the strict understanding that the candidate has read, understood and accepted these terms and conditions. No training will begin unless the candidate has agreed to these terms and conditions. By booking a course with driveRiches Limited you are indicating that you have read and understood the terms and conditions and agree to adhere and abide by them whilst contracted with us.
- The candidate must hold a current valid UK driving licence photocard, provisional or full, and must produce it on or in advance of, your first driving session. You must have your photocard on your person when training with us at all times and may be asked to produce this at any time.
- The pupil must be fit to drive with regard to legal and medical requirements. This includes being able to satisfy the driving test eyesight requirements of being able to read a vehicle number plate at a distance of 20.5 metres. Your eyesight will be checked by your instructor during your intensive course.
- The course will last the duration of the hours booked over no more than a 7 day period for 5 day courses or during the time that was agreed. The total hours booked includes the time required for taking the practical test. If needed, any additional hours can be booked with your instructor at the hourly rates as advertised on the website for the category of course chosen.
- As part of the course you will take a mock test with a senior instructor to determine your suitability to sit the practical test. This will take place at some point towards the end of your course and at least one day prior to your test. If in the senior instructors opinion they feel that you are not ready to take your practical driving test due to safety reasons, then you will not be allowed to take your driving test and the test will be cancelled. If this is the case you will not be offered a refund on your test fee and you will lose the DVSA element of your fee and be required to pay and book another test at a cost of £62 once all remedial work has been completed.
- If you decide that you wish to use your own car for test, unfortunately you will not be able to use the test we have booked for you. In this event the test will be cancelled, you will lose your test booking fee and you will have to book your own test.
- Any remedial work will be outside of the scope of the initial course cost covered and is chargeable at the rates as advertised on the website for the category of course chosen.
- Full payment is required to secure your course booking and is payable at time of booking. After payment your course will be confirmed in writing either by email, text message or a secure message by WhatsApp.
- No refunds will be given at any time unless the school is unable to carry out the course from their perspective due to unforeseen circumstances. Courses are non-transferable and can only be taken by the candidate who was originally named for the course.
- We may be able to reschedule the dates or times of your course if agreed by driveRiches Limited in advance prior to 14 works days of the course start date. There is a standard charge of £220 to make any changes and the candidate is also liable to pay for any increases in the price of the courses that have taken place since the original booking.
- If you pass your test and have unused hours remaining these will not be refunded as you are purchasing a course package and NOT hourly lessons.
- There may be on occasion a need to change the start days and/or times of your course due to another candidate’s test clashing with your course hours due to reasons outside of our control. In this situation we will give you as much notice as possible and change your course as required to ensure all our commitments are met. The candidate will suffer no loss of training hours.
- You are assigned a driveRiches Limited instructor and at no point can this be changed to another. All of our instructors are professional Approved Driving Instructors and hold a green badge which is displayed in the vehicle windscreen at all times. We may at our discretion change the course to hourly lessons in extreme circumstances should we deem the pupil not fit for an intensive course, this would usually be done during the first day of the course.
- We will not refund you any fees paid if you do not like the instructor or vehicle or are unable to do any of the pre-agreed days/hours due to sickness, your own transport issues, work calling you in, etc and are not bound to offer any alternative dates or times. We are under no obligation to change days of your course due to any of the above and you will lose your fee for any days you do not attend. We are unable to make up hours if you arrive late or do not attend.
- Your practical driving test cannot be booked until you have successfully passed your theory test. It is recommended that wherever possible that you take your theory test prior to commencing your driveRiches Limited intensive driving course.
- In the event the initial instructor allocated to you leaves driveRiches Limited, your hours will be allocated to a new driveRiches Limited instructor and can only be completed by your new instructor. Should you choose not to move instructors and stay with the departing instructor or choose to use an external instructor, then you agree to forfeit any remaining hours left with no entitlement to a refund of any kind.
- When taking an intensive course, it is not advisable to drive continuously. Short breaks can be arranged between you and your instructor. If you suffer from any medial issue or disability that may require you to take additional breaks or have short, un-planned rest stops then please advise this at the time of booking so we can factor additional break time to assist your learning.
- Practical driving tests are booked with the Driving & Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and availability cannot be guaranteed. In the event that a practical test cannot be booked for the end of the course, then an alternative test will be offered for a date and time that is agreeable to both you and your instructor. No refund of any of the course fee will be applicable in this case. Our course covers a weekday test slot only.
- In the event your test is delayed by more than 6 weeks, you will be required to take a 2 hour pre-test assessment at the rates as advertised on the website for the category of course chosen. This ensures that you will still meet the minimum standard of driving.
- driveRiches Limited cannot be held responsible, or liable, for the test fee in the event that your practical driving test is cancelled by the DVSA, for whatever reason.
- Candidates that were impacted by either of the national COVID lockdowns have 180 days from April 12th 2021 to have their course hours booked back in, failure to do so means that the course will be lost with no entitlement to the training hours or any form of refund of any kind.
- Any formal complaints must be made only in writing to our address on this document as soon as your grievance becomes apparent. We will carry out any investigation as required including interviews with yourself, your instructor, company staff or otherwise as reasonably required. You must work with us to resolve your complaint. We aim to resolve all formal complaints within 28 days and if this is not possible, we will advise you on our progress with an estimated completion date.
